wadi RUm ULTRA - TEAM LIKE A GIRL

"I hate running, I'm not a runner..."

And yet, somehow I got myself into a five day, 260km run across the Wadi Rum Desert in Jordan which has been dubbed 'one of the world's toughest footraces' - The Wadi Rum Ultra. Errrrrrrrm...

I joined this challenge to support Team Like a Girl, founded by Lauren Morton. Team Like a Girl is a platform for positive change - a collective of women who come together to do big and small adventures and challenge the negative connotations of the phrase 'like a girl'.

With support from Vistair, we completed the challenge on October 16. Despite training, this was an incredibly gruelling event and most days those penultimate checkpoints still seemed a bit too far from the finish line - blog on the experience coming soon.
